Joe Gray for Project Cobb (the Project for the Chronicling of British Baseball). SEASON STATSSeason records (All, 2009-2010; South, 1995-2008)These are single-season records for offence and pitching from 1995 to 2010. The significance of the year 1995 is that this was the season after an independent breakaway league folded, meaning that the best teams in the country were all competing under the British Baseball Federation banner once more. A minimum of 60 plate appearances is needed to be eligible for the batting average, on-base average, slugging average, and on-base plus slugging average (OPS) categories. A minimum of 40 innings pitched is required for earned-run average (ERA), walks and hits per inning pitched (WHIP), and strike-outs per 9 innings (strike-outs / 9 inn).
Full season stats (All, 2009-2010; South, 1995-2008)Sortable season stats for top-tier baseball between 1995 and 2010 can be downloaded below as Excel spreadsheets (the league structures for each season can be found on British Baseball Data). For the 1995-2000 period, stats are incomplete. If you wish to use the sort and filter functions and are running Excel 2007, you will need to enable macros. You should be able to do this through a security warning prompt that appears below the toolbar. In previous versions of Excel, you should be asked about enabling macros on opening the file. If not, you will need to set the security level to medium (through Tools > Macros > Security) and then open the spreadsheet again. To ensure full functionality, follow the instructions below.Right click on your chosen year; choose "Save target as" or "Save link as"; open the file saved on your computer.
Offensive leaders (All, 2009-2010; South, 2001-2008)These are offensive category leaders for top-tier baseball between 2001 and 2010. A minimum of 2 plate appearances per game played is required for eligibility for the batting average, on-base average, and slugging average categories.
